Here's The Last Review You Will Need About A Song Of Ice And Fire

Game of Thrones. Just the name of this popular television series pokes the ears of a million people.

Today I am here to discuss the same Game of Thrones but the one that took place in books.

A Song of Ice and Fire is the novel series on which the popular television series is based. It is written by George R. R. Martin. It was first published in 1996. Since then it has been a hit.

Let's get into the various aspects of the novel series.

A song of Ice and Fire takes you into the fantasy of the kingdom of Westeros. This book series offers depth and indulging experience like no other book.

You live in the world for a few days and experience how extreme human behavior can be.

This book series has everything you can think of. You want fiction, you've got it. You want sorcery, you've got it. You want suspense, you've got it. You want action, you've got it. You want thrill, you've got it. And you want romance (mostly eroticism), you've got it too.

This is the perfect mix of everything.

Synopsis

So the story goes something like this…

Jon Arryn, the king's hand dies (I won't tell how ). And so the king Robert Baratheon asks his beloved friend Ned Stark to be the hand. And he accepts.

Soon the king dies too (again things are better-kept secret). Thus the kingdom of Westeros finds itself with no king leading to a fantastic game of thrones.

Daenerys Stormborn, Robb Stark, Prince Joffrey, Stannis Baratheon, and many others fight for the iron throne giving you the best suspense and thrill of your life.

Various aspects

Characters

This is what has built the book. The effort that the writer has taken in shaping all the personalities of all the characters is beyond imagination.

Every character has his/her own qualities and characteristics. But they aren't average. They are just extreme.

If a character is cruel he is cruel at its best. If they are fierce, they are fierce like hell.

No matter what you like, you'll end up loving at least half the characters on both sides.
All the characters are correct in their own way.

Writing style

Well, this is the best aspect of this book. The writing style is what you'll fall in love with.

The writer writes in chapters (I know it's nothing new) but what's unique is that he doesn't write like chapter 1, chapter 2….so on. Whereas he writes chapters in the form of characters. One chapter is one character.

The chapters go like this

Danaerys
Tyrion
Sansa
Eddard
Catelyn
Sansa
Jon
Tyrion…..and so on

This way you know what every character is thinking about himself and others. See, that's a very unique style that no one follows.

When you read one chapter you see the world from that character's point of view. How he is interpreting the whole situation. How he thinks. What is he planning to do? What is he suffering from? Who does he consider enemies and who friends? What does he feel? Everything that goes on inside the mind of that character, comes down on paper.

So when you read, you completely become that character. You live his life. And seeing from this perspective, you begin to think that he is a good fella but when you go into another one's perspective you feel like 'Oh he's wrong!'

See, that's the fun part here. One game goes on there and one in your own mind. Who will win the throne of your mind? Your mind keeps on struggling to decide who is the best person? Who should sit the iron throne?

Story

Well, you want something really grabbing as hell, get this book right now. It nearly ruined my studies. These books have a helluva story level. As soon as you think someone's gonna win, he dies.

The story is very intriguing. It's more about who has the brains rather than who has the power. But power does play a role.

Let's say 60 brains 40 power.

And if one gets it both he just dominates above all. But yeah he surely dies later.

It's all a portrayal of love, greed, self-respect, plotting, revenge, old quarrels, and a throne that hurts your ass badly.

Suspense

This is just mind-blowing. If you love suspense you'll kiss these books.

The way he creates suspense is just amazing. You never know what the characters will do. They are unpredictable. You can read their thoughts but still cannot predict them.

The book takes very unexpected turns and twists. As I mentioned earlier. You think someone's gonna win, he dies. And you're like 'how could this happen.'

Imagination

The levels of the imagination of the writer are superb.
Weird sorcery, dark magic, secrets, people helping/killing each other for very old, queer reasons.

Ratings

Who should read this

If you have a taste for
Fantasy
War
Suspense
Fiction
Plots
Sorcery

YOU SHOULD READ THIS.

Children 13 or below should avoid this as there are high levels of abusive language and explicit content.

Finally, the T.V. adaption of this book series

Game of Thrones is an HBO series based on a song of ice and fire. Well, it was based on the books until season 5 and after that, the directors were on their own.

If you are a GoT fan, you might have been disappointed with the last season. It was because the directors don't have that level of creativity like George R. R. Martin. They don't have that ability.

But they had to release it as the writer hasn't released the books yet.
But I am quite sure that the books will satisfy the hunger of the fans.

I know, I know you're not gonna share this even if your friends like GoT. But still, I'll say. Please share this. It helps me.

Well that's it
That was all I could tell you. If I missed something please lemme know in the comments.
